🖼️ Picross Mini Puzzle
About this game
Picross Mini is a compact introduction to nonograms, a picture logic puzzle genre where numbers alone are enough to reveal a hidden image if you read them correctly. Every row and every column of the five-by-five grid is labeled with a set of numbers indicating exactly how many consecutive filled cells appear in that line, and in what order the separate blocks of filled cells occur. By cross-referencing the clues along the rows with the clues along the columns, you can work out with complete logical certainty which cells must be filled in and which must stay empty, gradually uncovering a simple pixel-art picture cell by cell as you go. Clicking any cell toggles it between filled and empty, so experimenting and correcting mistakes is completely free and painless as you refine your solution. Unlike guessing games, nonograms reward patient, structured reasoning: starting with the rows or columns that have the most restrictive clues usually unlocks the rest of the grid far more quickly than tackling cells at random. Completing the picture and watching it snap fully into focus is a wonderfully satisfying payoff.
