Reversi Classic delivers the full traditional eight-by-eight board experience of this beloved flipping strategy game, also known in many countries as Othello, giving you considerably more room to maneuver and plan than the compact mini version and allowing genuinely deep strategic play to develop over the course of a full match. You play black against a computer opponent playing white, and every move you make must trap one or more opposing discs between your newly placed disc and another disc you already control in a straight line, instantly flipping every trapped disc over to your own color and often triggering dramatic swings in who controls the majority of the board. The computer opponent in this version does not simply grab whichever move flips the most discs immediately, since that greedy short-term approach is actually a well-known beginner's trap in Reversi strategy; instead it evaluates the resulting position more carefully, generally favoring moves that lead toward stronger long-term board control. Corners remain the single most valuable squares on the board throughout the game because a disc placed there can never be flipped back by either player, and building your strategy around securing corners and stable edges rather than maximizing immediate flips is the real path to victory.
