Mini Sudoku takes the beloved logic of full-size Sudoku and compresses it into a friendly four-by-four grid, making it perfect for a short mental workout without sacrificing any of the satisfying deduction the puzzle is famous for. The rule set is identical in spirit to the classic version: every row, every column, and every two-by-two box must contain each of the numbers one through four exactly once, with no repeats allowed anywhere. Some cells are already filled in as fixed clues when the puzzle begins, and your task is to work out the correct value for every remaining empty cell using nothing but logical elimination. Because the grid is so small, there is nowhere for a mistake to hide, which makes Mini Sudoku an excellent way to practice the core Sudoku-solving techniques of scanning rows, columns, and boxes together before committing to a number.
