Asteroid Dodge puts you at the controls of a small starship hurtling forward through an endless asteroid field, with nothing standing between survival and disaster except your own quick side-to-side reflexes. Chunks of tumbling space rock of varying sizes constantly rain down from the top of the screen, and your ship, fixed near the bottom, moves smoothly left and right in response to your mouse or finger, weaving through the gaps between the incoming asteroids to avoid a fatal collision. Your score climbs continuously for every second you manage to stay alive, and the falling asteroids gradually pick up speed and frequency the longer your run continues, squeezing the safe gaps tighter and demanding sharper, more decisive movements as the difficulty escalates. There is a genuine rhythm to reading the field several rows ahead rather than reacting to the very nearest asteroid, since committing to a lane change a beat too late often means threading a gap that has already started to close. A single collision ends the run immediately and locks in your final score, and your personal best distance is saved locally so every fresh attempt has a clear target to chase.
