Doodle Jump takes its inspiration from one of the most downloaded mobile games of all time, translating its endless vertical bouncing into a simple, addictive browser experience built around a single continuous climb. Your little character automatically bounces upward every time it lands on one of the platforms scattered above it, and your only control is steering it left and right with your mouse or finger to line up the next landing safely, letting gravity and momentum handle the rest of the physics for you. Miss every platform beneath your character and there is nothing to stop the fall, so positioning ahead of time rather than reacting after you have already started dropping is the real key to climbing higher and higher. As you ascend, the camera scrolls upward with you and old platforms disappear off the bottom of the screen while fresh ones appear near the top, keeping the challenge endless and ensuring that no two runs ever look quite the same. Your height score climbs continuously as you go, and your personal best is saved locally, giving every new attempt a very clear number to beat.
