Lane Racer puts you behind the wheel on a busy three-lane highway, weaving through oncoming traffic that never lets up and only gets faster the longer you manage to survive. Your car sits fixed near the bottom of the screen, and your only control is switching between the left, center, and right lanes using the arrow keys or a simple tap on either side of the road, timing every lane change carefully to slip safely past the cars barreling toward you from further up the highway. Your score rises steadily with every second you stay on the road, and the traffic gradually thickens and speeds up as your score climbs, shrinking the safe windows between oncoming cars and demanding sharper, more decisive lane changes as the run goes on. A single collision with an oncoming car ends your run immediately, so reading the pattern of upcoming traffic a beat or two ahead, rather than reacting purely at the very last second, becomes the real skill that separates a short run from a genuinely impressive one.
