Higher or Lower is a simple card-guessing game built around basic probability that has entertained casual card players for generations, sometimes known by other names but always following the exact same elegant core idea: a single playing card is shown face up, valued from one, representing an ace, all the way up to thirteen, representing a king, and your job is simply to predict whether the next card drawn will be higher or lower than the one currently showing. Guess correctly and your streak grows by one before the next card is revealed and immediately becomes the new card to beat, while a wrong guess resets your streak back to zero, and the occasional tie, when the next card happens to share the exact same value as the current one, triggers an automatic replay of that same round without breaking your streak either way. The probability shifts noticeably depending on the current card showing: with a low card like a two or three showing, guessing higher is statistically the much smarter choice since there are far more cards above it than below, while a high card like a jack or queen flips that logic completely around and makes guessing lower the far safer bet. Your longest-ever streak is saved locally, giving you a clear personal record to chase on every future visit.
