🏓 Pong Classic
About this game
Pong holds a legendary place in gaming history as one of the very first commercially successful video games, released in 1972 and widely credited with helping kick-start the entire video game industry as we know it today. This version recreates that same simple, elegant two-paddle table-tennis concept, letting you control a paddle on the left side of the screen by moving your mouse or finger up and down, while a computer-controlled paddle defends the right side, and a small ball bounces back and forth between you, picking up speed and changing angle every time it strikes a paddle. The rules could not be simpler: miss the ball and let it sail past your paddle, and your opponent scores a point, while the ball is faster and more unpredictable than it first appears, since it also bounces off the top and bottom walls of the court, and where a ball strikes your paddle actually influences the angle it flies off at afterward, rewarding players who position themselves precisely rather than just reacting at the last possible instant. The first side to reach five points wins the match outright, and a fresh rematch is only a single click away whenever you are ready to play again.
