🎲 Yahtzee Lite Classic
About this game
Yahtzee Lite is a streamlined take on the beloved dice-rolling scoring game that has been a family game night staple since the 1950s, condensed here into six focused rounds using a simplified set of scoring categories that still capture the strategic heart of the original. Each round you roll five dice up to three total times, and between rolls you can choose to hold onto any dice showing values you want to keep by clicking them, re-rolling only the dice you are not satisfied with in an effort to build toward a stronger final combination before your rolls run out. Once you are happy with your final five dice, or you have used up all three rolls, you commit that result to one of six available scoring categories, such as counting up all the ones showing, all the twos showing, scoring a bonus for rolling three or more matching dice, or claiming a flat twenty-five point bonus for a full house of exactly three matching dice plus a separate pair. Each category can only ever be used once across the whole six-round game, so real strategic tension comes from deciding which category best fits your current roll versus saving it in reserve, hoping for an even better roll to fill it later in the game.
