🚢 Battleship Solo Strategy
About this game
Battleship Solo adapts the beloved naval combat guessing game into a single-player hunting challenge, tasking you with locating and sinking an entire hidden fleet scattered randomly across an eight-by-eight grid using nothing but careful deduction and a bit of luck. Five ships of varying lengths, from a large four-cell battleship down to a pair of small two-cell patrol boats, are placed somewhere on the board at the very start, invisible until you start firing, and every click on a cell counts as one shot, revealing either a miss, a hit on part of a ship, or the final blow that sinks a ship completely once every one of its cells has been struck. The efficient way to play is to fire a spread-out pattern of exploratory shots across the empty board first, and once a hit lands, immediately concentrate follow-up shots on the cells directly adjacent to it in a straight line, since ships never bend or turn corners, letting you quickly trace out and finish off the rest of that vessel. Sinking the entire fleet in as few total shots as possible is the real measure of skill, turning every game into a personal best worth beating.
