⚪ Mini Checkers Strategy
About this game
Mini Checkers brings the classic strategy of draughts, one of the oldest board games still played competitively around the world, onto a more compact six-by-six board for a faster-paced but still tactically rich match against a computer opponent. You control the gold pieces, starting at the bottom of the board and moving diagonally upward, while the computer controls the pink pieces moving diagonally downward from the top, and the two sides gradually close in on each other as the game progresses. Pieces capture an opponent by jumping diagonally over them into an empty square immediately beyond, removing the jumped piece from the board permanently, and crucially, capturing is mandatory in this version whenever a legal jump is available, forcing you to think carefully before every move since an overlooked capture opportunity for your opponent can cost you a piece unexpectedly. Any piece that manages to fight its way all the way to the far edge of the board is crowned a king, gaining the valuable ability to move and capture diagonally in every direction rather than just forward. The game ends the moment one side has no pieces or no legal moves left, handing victory to the other.
