🔢 Number Memory Classic
About this game
Number Memory is a focused short-term memory challenge that tests exactly how many digits you can hold in your head at once, a skill psychologists have studied for decades under the name digit span. Each round flashes a string of random digits on screen for a brief moment, roughly one second per digit in the sequence, before the numbers disappear completely and are replaced with a row of question marks, at which point you must type the exact sequence back from memory into the input box. Answer correctly and the level advances, with the very next round adding one additional digit to the sequence, steadily increasing the length you need to memorize and pushing you closer to your genuine cognitive limit with every successful level you clear. A single mistake ends the run immediately and reveals the correct sequence you missed, along with the level you reached, giving you clear, honest feedback on exactly how far your working memory could stretch on that particular attempt. Most people without specific memory training can reliably hold somewhere around seven digits in their head at once, so watching your own personal best climb past that number over repeated sessions is a genuinely rewarding measure of real cognitive improvement, and your all-time record is saved locally between visits.
